Project # 4768265412

I have been messing around building an AIS receiver for a bit of a laugh. Nearly all the bits are left overs from other projects and from a couple of other aborted schemes. It is almost there! This shot shows the sniffer coil being used to check the principal oscillator. Very convienient that we have an RF spectrum analyser that I can borrow at lunch time. The circuit has been tweeked from a magazine article for a Weather Satellite receiver. It even has a box to go in!

The coffee cup looks dangerously close to the circuit board.
I repaired an electric kettle recently and turned it over to secure the screws on its base. There was still a half cup of water left in it that splashed onto a live power supply.
