Geek Clock

This is the start of Project 6,783,641... I needed a crystal for project 5,138,371 and the best place is from a CD drive and so i pulled a very ancient SCSI drive to pieces and lo found the crystal i was seeking... I was about to lob the remaining carccass of the drive into the bin when i thought that it would make a cool clock! So there you go... this is the optical assembly that held the laser and the detetector and i have replaced the laser with a three colour LED (the four little wires top right) so i will keep you posted on how we go!
