Home Again, Home Again, Jigerty Jig...

Well back to Sanity or the version of it that i usually inhabit. Had an intersting trip back from Aberdeen; watched the wings being de-iced... waited while a blizzard closed the airport; ran like sombody possessed across Heathrow to get to the connecting flight... It is a lot warmer here and it is so nice to see Rose and the boyz, really missed them. The trip was actually not bad on the whole. Whilst any trip for work is never (in my experience) a barallel of laughs this was certainly better than some (the others would of course be a benchmark for purgatory). I suppose the things i remember most (and have probably forgotten most) is how crowded everything is, how small the houses are, how deeply entrenched certain pointless things are and how green it all is (when it isn't white!)

Flying into Aberdeen.... Posted by Hello

Aberdeen 1 Guy Fawks Night

Hmmm been busy for a week; still i suppose i am here to do work... (hope Janet reads that bit) Well been pushing shit uphill for a week but did go to Edinburugh yesterday with Ros which was fun. Climbed over the castle, watched Scotland being beaten by the Wallaby's at Murryfield. I decided to support Scotland since i felt sorry for them and i was born here (i do often secretly support Scotland). True to form they were trounced. We managed to miss their two tries while we were getting some nourishment (well donuts...) Had a pint at a Very noisey Bar in the City then drove back in the evening. But probably the most fun was buying a box of fireworks and going around to Greg's for tea and going into full blown pyromania mode. The smell of cordite filled the air. I worked out that it must have been 34 years since i had last done it which is rather scary. Today we went into work for a while then the afternoon proved to be lovely and sunny and we went for a walk along the "beach" and looked at the lighthouse and harbour. All the time it isn't raining and there is some sun it is really quite lovely and i must admit that i have been lucky with that.

Amsterdam

Well sitting here at Schiphol Airport @ Amsterdam in sunny Holland... feeling very weird like i havn't had mcuh sleep for a long time... This could asctually be the truth. By bad planning i seem to be sitting here for about 8 hours looking out the window. Still at least i have access to free beer and coffee... And the internet for another 13 minutes! I hope this works as a lot of these remote widgets don't all seem to run the Java code properly to uplaod it when i eventually press save. So i suppose if you read it then it worked. Just read RS website and S is talking about the show i will miss on wednesday night... must rememer to ask Rose to record it! The ladz looked very small saying bye bye to them yesterday afternoon... I t would be cool if i could upload some photos of the that i have taken while sitting here... i have a nice one of the venilation duct in the ceiling and one of my new iPod and one of the funky chairs... it may have to wait till Aberdeen.
