Motor Show

Had a busy weekend as it was Declan's 11th Birthday and he had some friends over to sleep in the Tent in the garden. Rose and I seemed to end up with about 4 hours sleep... We then divested ourselves of the other children and went to the MotorShow. It was OK but I don't think that we will be rushing back. The boys really liked a Hyundai people mover that had back seets with trays like on an Aeropane. Very tragic... I really liked the Mercedes SLK. Had a certain stance of I've a lot of money so get teh hell out of my way! Rose was keen on updating the Polo. Actally I think that the VW stand was far and away the best at the show. But at the end of the day the old cars out the front had oddles more charisma. So this is the emblem from the front of an old Falcon. From the time when you wouldn't wouldn't be emberassed to be in a Ford. Declan was keen for some chips so he twisted his prents arm and we went to the Belgian Beer House for some chips and other tasty beverages...

A delightful Billy Collins Animated Poem

Entitled "forgetfulness", this is quite thoughtful.

Stephen Hawking sings La Travita

Here is a picture from Gnomesville, which is sort of between Collie and Bunbury. It started when some people put some gnomes on the roundabout and then the police said it was too dangereous and now there are thousands of the things along the side of the road opposite the roundabout. There a lots of fairly boring gnomes, but the ones i liked the best are the ones that schools had made and then taken there. It seemed that a lot more effort and love had gone into them...

Easter

This Easter we headed off down to Collie for a few days. We had a great time and saw bits of WA that I think mostly get sped past... On the way back we popped into Yarloop and had a look at the Museum there. It is really quite fascinating and worth a visit, especially on Steam Day!

April the 50th

Had a great afternoon on Sunday when we caught up with some old friends from Beehive. Sue (in the middle) was turning 50 and we had a Mad Hatters Tea Party in Peppey Grove, down next to the River. I'm sure that she really isn't 50! I also discovered that that Rabbits enjoy drinking Champagne (well this one anyway)!
