Piper II

Well been very busy doing stuff. About a week ago, while reading the Quokka (an classified advertisment rag) i found a Hammond Piper II organ going cheap in a non functioning state. We now have it in a million pieces and i have started rebuilding it with a USB interface and the next part is writing a MIDI device driver! So how cool is all of that? I will post some pictures soon.

Fathers day was fun. We got up very late then caught the train into Perth to see the Russian Art exhibition at the Art Gallery. It was good but i am afraid that i have been spoilt by seeing a fantastic Russian Modern Art exhibition in Amsterdam in 92 which was brilliant. By contrast the Perth one was interesting but lacked some focus. It tried to cover way to many different aspects of the Russian arts. We then went to the Belgian Beer Cafe and had a lovely meal and beer and bumped into a family from the old school (interestingly we bumped into them on Fathers Day last year at Little Creatures!). Having probably had too much beer i then took the boys to a electronics parts shop and bought two ribbon tweeters for the speaker cabinet project (this is project 73 in the open ended list of projects!)
