from a small machine...

posting from my new machine -- it is a pocket pc that i got for our holiday trip so i can keep you all up to date with our adventures in europe... it is pretty kewl and it is amazing what can be achived in such a small package. the last day @ work for 5 weeks was a bit of a struggle, we did have drinx after work however which was good...

Valve Amplifier

Well the valve amplifier is slowly coming to life... it is now housed in a Tasmanian Oak box with the two meters on the front. We still have to fit the chicken head knobs and actually put some stuff in it but it is making progress... The 6SN7 is fitted to demonstrate what it will look like. It is actually quite a new valve, only manufactured a few years ago, in Russia...

Sorry it has been such a pause between posts! Very slack. Well actually very busy! We are off to France for 5 weeks very soon so we have been frantically trying to get a bit better organized and get the house tided up and everything heading in the right direction before we go. During the weekend we had a birthday party, a dinner party a cub outing, several vists from friends and on Sunday morning we went down to the South Mole in Fremantle to see this boat sailing out. It was quite spectacular. It would have been even more so if the sails had been fully rigged but there was quite a strong wind the wrong way!
