"Growing" Land

Took the boys (and Fetid) for a walk at Manning Park in Hamilton Hill recently and at the top of the hill you can look down on the latest West Australian Toxic Dump Reclamation Project. This is actually in Coogee and there is also an extensive road diverging program and a lot of filling in the Cockburn Sound to produce, what will certainly be, very expensive blocks of land! Not too sure that I would want to buy one (even if I could afford one) what with the Global Warming issues and the somewhat dubious source of the dirt along with the lovely Cadmium enriched sea...

Ben in Disguise

We have embarked upon a fairly major renovation of the last room in the house not to be rebuilt. Declan's bedroom has been rather delipdated for such a long time we cant help but reline it and generally clean it up. In the process we have been putting in lots of insulation and better lighting etc. While we were pulling out all the of the stuff that was in there we found the trousers from the Beehive Fremantle Festival parade. Ben was able to climb into the leg of them and make like something from Dr. Who.
